Social events are open to all first-year students and help build social connections that last a lifetime. Take a plunge into our dynamic, warm, and welcoming Conestoga community! Events may take place online or in person. Times vary. Optional for all first-year students.

Kick-Off FEST

Saturday, January 20, 7 p.m. - 12 a.m.

​Kick-off Fest will offer a variety of sights and sounds to entice the largest gathering of students possible! It will include a fantastic lineup of musical artists, food for purchase, a resource fair, engaging activities, and Instagram-worthy content! Don't miss out on this signature event that will bring students from all eight campuses to kick off the term!

2SLGBTQ+ Student Welcome

January 25, 5-7 p.m., Doon campus - The Venue (Room 2A109)

Kick off the winter term with our 2SLGBTQ+ community! We'll connect over food, beverages, and games! Meet queer-identifying peers, staff, and community partners at the event. Drop in to learn about resources, upcoming events, and support all students can access.

  • Free taco buffet will be served from 5-5:15 p.m.

New and returning 2SLGBTQ+ students and allies are welcome!

African, Black, and Caribbean (ABC) Welcome - Meet Your Community Mixer!

Student Engagement invites you to kick off the winter term and celebrate Black History Month, or Black Heritage Month, with the African, Black, and Caribbean community. It is a celebration of the achievements, excellence, and resilience of Black individuals and communities.

This session will bring you campus resources to help you navigate college life, community resources and celebrate Black culture.
